RELAXIN // What is it?

During pregnancy your body releases a hormone called Relaxin, and it’s purpose is to soften our muscles in order for us to make space to grow our babies, and to prepare our bodies for birth. How clever 😊 This means we also need to be aware not to over-stretch during exercise classes or yoga, which could lead us to damage or injure a muscle... and who wants a pulled muscle during pregnancy!? It’s so important to attend pre-natal classes with a specially trained and experienced teacher, who takes all of this into consideration. Whatever it is you are taking part in, just remember that your muscles are softer and it’s easy to over-do it!

Our online classes have been designed with all of this in mind and we offer modifications to make poses less or more intense. We have a few options available, from one month’s access, to three months or the full 6 months access (because we only recommend our classes after 12 weeks of pregnancy!) See the link in bio to learn more about our online Pregnancy Yoga classes 🤰👶🏻🧘‍♂️👍
